Cílem výzkumu bylo zmapování období několika posledních let činnosti Azylového domu Elim Vsetín z hlediska výskytu vybraných jevů, zachycení trendů ve zkoumaných oblastech, a porovnání získaných poznatků s výstupy již provedených výzkumů na toto téma. Výzkum se snažil odpovědět na otázku, zda v průběhu let 2002 - 2007 došlo u klientely Azylového domu Elim k určitému vývoji a také do jaké míry tato klientela odpovídá bezdomovecké populaci v ČR. Sledovány byly jevy jako např. závislosti, trestná činnost, dluhy, zaměstnanost, apod. Jako výzkumná metoda byla zvolena obsahová analýza dokumentů. Výzkum potvrdil jak určitý vývoj z hlediska sledovaných jevů, tak také podobnost struktury klientely Azylového domu Elim se strukturou bezdomovecké populace v ČR.The objective of this research was to survey the Asylum house Elim in Vsetín activity in the light of the occurrence of selected phenomena, to record the trends in the examined areas over the period of several last years and to compare the obtained information with the previously made surveys on this topic. This research sought to answer the question, whether within the period of 2002 - 2007 there was a certain development of the clientship of the Asylum house Elim and to what measure this clientship corresponds to the homeless population in the Czech Republic. There were observed phenomena like addictions, criminality, debts, employment rate etc. The research was based on the method of content analysis of documents. The research confirms both certain development in the observed phenomena and resemblance of the Asylum House Elim clientship structure to that of the homeless population in the Czech Republic.
