Cílem magisterské diplomové práce je reflexe situace ohledně týrání, zneužívání a zanedbávání seniorů. Na základě studia odborné literatury a dalších zdrojů seznamuje s terminologií, definicemi, historickým kontextem, formami, prevalencí a teoretickými přístupy k jevu. Rozlišuje povahu jevu v domácím prostředí a v prostředí ústavních zařízení, dále upozorňuje na rizikové faktory, které mohou jev podnítit. V závěru odhaluje proces detekce, diagnostiky a identifikace jevu a představuje možnosti intervence, včetně preventivních opatření, která by mohla vést k eliminaci jeho výskytu.The goal of the thesis is reflection of elder abuse and neglect. The thesis is based on study of literature and other sources and it presents terminology, historical connections, forms, occurence and theoretical approaches to the elder mistreatment. It is differentiated nature of the phenomenon in domestic and institutional care and it refers to risk factors associated with elder abuse and neglect. At the end it is described detection, diagnostics and identification of the phenomenon and it is presented posibilities of intervention and prevention elder abuse and neglect.
