Diplomová práce je zaměřena na sociologickou interpretaci života na vsi, kdy se pokouší o vysvětlení vztahu díla vzniklého v období realismu, konkrétně knihy Aloise a Viléma Mrštíka Rok na vsi. Sociologické kategorie analýzy nám poskytuje práce Inocence Arnošta Bláhy Sociologie sedláka a dělníka. Uvedené kategorie získané ze sociologické literatury jsou srovnány s popisem sociální reality obsažené v díle Rok na vsi.The diploma work is intent on sociological interpretation of the living in the village. The work makes an attempt to illustrate the relation of the literary work that has come into existence in the era of realism. Concretely the work is focused on the book "Rok na vsi" created by Alois and Vilém Mrštík. Inocence Arnošt Bláha´s publication "Sociologie sedláka a dělníka" then enable us to get to know sociological categories of analysis. Mentioned categories that rise from socilogical literature are compared with the description of social reality which we can find in the piece "Rok na vsi".
