Práce se zabývá výskytem německých příjmení na Břeclavsku v letech 1869 a 2002. Nastiňuje obecnou problematiku příjmení včetně příčin jejich vzniku, vysvětluje existenci velkého množství variant jednoho jména a uvádí jazyková specifika německých regionů. Popisuje rovněž utváření zkoumaného korpusu příjmení a klasifikuje příslušná příjmení z hlediska významu, původu, tvarosloví a způsobu zápisu. Výsledky výzkumů z let 1869 a 2002 srovnává a vysvětluje.The thesis considers the occurrence of surnames of German origin in the region of Břeclav in 1869 and 2002. It addresses the general questions of surnames, including the reasons for its creation, interprets the existence of the great variety of the same surname and mentions language specifications typical for particular German regions. It describes the creation of analyzed corpus of surnames and classifies the surnames according to their meaning, origin, accidence and orthography. It compares the results of the two analyses (1869 and 2002) and interprets them.
