Bakalářská práce vychází z účasti autorky práce na překladatelském projektu probíhajícího na Katedře anglistiky a amerikanistiky FF UP jako testovací projekt. Jedná se o zpracování terminologie jednotlivých oblastí evropského práva z dokumentů ukotvených v textové databázi EUR-Lex. Dokumenty nacházející se v této databázi jsou charakteru smluv, právních předpisů, legislativ ve fázi přípravy, judikatur a parlamentních dotazů. Jde tedy o oficiální texty vyprodukované v rámci administrativy evropských úřadů. Jednotlivé texty jsou přeloženy do oficiálních jazyků členských zemí, tedy i do češtiny. Cílem projektu je navrhnout pro anglický termín český ekvivalent, který se v těchto dokumentech vyskytuje nejčastěji. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí. Teoretická část pojednává o problematice terminologie obecně, jsou v ní vysvětleny zásadní pojmy a principy terminologie a terminografie. Praktická část se zabývá projektem samotným, jeho zázemím, zpracováním zadaných termínů, problémy vzniklými v průběhu práce a jejich řešeními.The bachelor thesis is based on the participation of the author in the project running under the Department of English and American Studies, Faculty of Arts, Palacký University, as a trstiny project of such nature. The principle of this task lies in processing the terminology from various spheres of human activities on the basis of the documents on Community legislation in EUR-Lex text database. According to the character of documents, there are official journals, treaties, international agreements, legislations in force, preparatory acts, case laws, parliamentary questions, budgets for the European Union, the Institutions' Registers, process and players of the EU law, legislative drafting. Individual texts are translated into the official languages of the EU member countries, which thus also means into the Czech language. The aim of the project is to propose the most frequently used Czech equivalents for the English terms appearing within the texts. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part is aimed at problems of terminology in general. This part introduces the reader and/or user of this thesis to the basic terminology and principles. The practical part deals with the project itself, its background, processing of the submitted terminology, problems arisen during the work and their solutions.
