Diplomová práce se zabývá rozborem románů od Thomase Pynchona Dražba série č.49 a V. a románů od Kurta Vonneguta Jatka č.5 a Kolíbka, což jsou reprezantativní texty postmoderní literatury. Základním východiskem této práce je, že v postmoderní lioteratuře se stírají rozdíly mezi takzvanou "náročnou" (uměleckou, "vysokou") a "nenáročnou" (populární, "nízkou") literaturou.This thesisdeals with the analysis of postmodern novel, which are "The Crying of Lot 49" and "V." by Thomas Pynchon, and "Slaughterhouse-Five" and "Cat's Cradle" by Kurt Vonnegut. This reprezentative texts show that the gap between the literature of Low/Pop culture and High Art has been destroyed because of the postmodern condition of our society.
