Diplomová práce se zabývá interpretací série Přísloví, které vznikly v Bruselu a do Čech byly přivezeny Janem Adolfem I, který je získal darem od Leopolda Viléma. Autorem kartonů je Jacob Jordaens, který předvším čerpal z děl Jacoba Catse. Jedná se o zobrazení životního stylu ve Vlámsku v 17.století.The thesis tries to interpret the serie of the tapestries from the collection "Proverbs", which were made in Brussels in the 17th century. They were taken to Bohemia by Jan Adolf I. who got that as a present from Leopold Willlem. The author of the cartons is Jacob Jordaens, who took his inspiration in the books of Jacob Cats. These tapestries depict the way of living in Flanders in the 17th century.
