Cílem této práce je objasnit pojem eutanázie a další formy podobného zacházení, které pod pojem eutanázie zařadit nemůžeme. Dále je problém eutanázie posuzován z různých pohledů, a to z hlediska etického, lékařského, právního a náboženského. Další část je věnována legislativnímu vývoji eutanázie v Nizozemsku a Belgii a současné situaci v České republice. Na závěr je formou dotazníků proveden výzkum názorů obyvatel ve výše jmenovaných zemích.The object of this bachelor work is to clear up the term euthanasia and other forms of treatment which can be used and which ease the end of life in a different way than euthanasia does. Next is the problem of euthanasia viewed from different angles. Namely from ethical, medical, juridical and religious perspective. Next part is devoted to the proces of legalization in Netherlands and Belgium and to the contemporary situation in the Czech Republic. Finally there is a research of public opinion in these three countries.
