Knee joint being one of the most complex joints in the human body becomes a location of a frequent damage due to its complicated inner structure and utility requirements imposed to it. Athletes and volleyball players often face the pain by the lower part of patella. The pain is caused by overburdening of the quadriceps femoris ligament. This illness is called tendinopathy of ligamentum patellae - in other words known as Jumper's Knee. The aim of this work is to define etiology of the illness and contemporary treatment possibilities focused on the eccentric work-out, as it is being presented by the accessible literature.
