Cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce je oboznámiť čitateľa s pojmom squattingu. Jedná sa o definíciu squattingu, jeho históriu a rozdelenie. Ďalej sa práca venuje squattingu ako špecifickej subkultúre mladých ľudí. Osvetľuje ich snahy o alternatívu a pokus o vytvorenie si vlastného zmysluplného štýlu života. Práca sa ďalej zaoberá popisom aktivít, s ktorými sa možno na squatoch stretnúť. Na koniec sa spomína legislatíva týkajúca sa squattingu vo viacerých štátoch Európy ako aj popis niektorých z najznámejších squaterských projektov. Súčasťou práce je aj kapitola venovaná vlastným skúsenostiam autora zo života na squatoch. V závere sú stručne zhrnuté všetky body práce ako aj snaha o vyzvanie k porozumení a dialógu o tomto spoločenskom fenoméne a jeho dôvodom.The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to explain the term squatting. This means to define squatting, its history and typology. The thesis deals with the squatting as a special sub-cultural movement of young people. It's highlighted as the effort for the alternative way of life and creating its own hierarchy and values for life. The thesis also considers various squatter's projects and activities that they encounter. The other part of the text deals with legislation in few countries in Europe as well as description of some of the most famous squatter's projects. The last part is dedicated to author's own experience while living some time in squats. At the end there is a summary of all points that have been listed through-out the thesis as well as request for understanding and possible dialogue about this social phenomenon.
