V bakalářské práci jsme zpracovali téma týkající se problematiky psychické stimulace geriatrických pacientů v ústavní péči. V jednotlivých kapitolách teoretické části jsme osvětlili základní definice a pojmy týkající se procesu stárnutí a stáří. Zabýváme se zde také periodizacemi období stáří, ale také stářím z pohledu biologie, psychologie, sociologie a pedagogiky. Uvádíme některé aktivizační programy, které by se daly využít při práci s osobami v seniorském věku,ale i nejčastěji využívané služby poskytované v oblasti zdravotní a sociální. V empirické části jsme se zabývali výzkumem, který objasnil pohledy a postoje uživatelů služeb a zaměstnanců na celkovou aktivizaci osob ve stáří. Z prováděného výzkumu se prokázalo, že pohled na využití aktivit, nabízených v rámci zařízení, se liší mezi uživateli a zaměstnanci. Nezastupitelné místo v životě seniora zaujímá rodina a velice kladně jej podle výsledků ovlivňuje spolupráce s jinými organizacemi.This thesis deals with psychological stimulation of geriatric patients of health care institutions.The particular chapters of the theoretical part focus on basic definitions and terms dealing with getting old and old age. Old age is put into periodic table and also characterized in view of biology, psychology, sociology and pedagogy. Some programs of activities that could be practiced as regards seniors and also the most commonly used services in health care and social service are mentioned.The practical part consists of a research that features the opinions of both the patients and staff on the overall activity of elderly.The conducted research shows that as regards the use of activities offered by the institutions, the staff and the patients are of different point of view. Old people value family most and cooperation with other institutions is also considered positive.
