Práce obsahuje redeskripce 14 rodů z podčeledi Ototretinae a nomenklatorické změny, které z výsledků vyplynuly. Redeskripce jsou doplněny perokresbami hlav, štítů a tykadel a fotografiemi samčích genitálií z ventrálního i laterálního pohledu. Dále práce srovnává hypotézy o vzniku bioluminiscence u Lampyridae.The study includes redescriptions of 14 genera of the subfamily Ototretinae and nomenclative modifications which resulted from it. Redescriptions are completed by pen drawings of heads, clypeuses and antennaes and photograps of male genitalia from ventral and lateral view. Further, this study compares hypotheses about the origin of bioluminiscence.
