Jednou z oblastí, kde se projevuje asymetrické uspořádání mozkové kůry u člověka, je lateralita párových smyslových orgánů a končetin. Složitá součinnost jednotlivých specializovaných oblastí mozkových hemisfér je základem pro řízení lidských činností. Podmínkou pro zkoumání laterality by měla být znalost těchto specializovaných center a vztahů mezi nimi.The laterality of paired limbs and sense organs is one of the spheres where the asymmetric organisation of the human cerebral cortex is manifested. The control of all human activities is based on a complex cooperation of individual specialist regions of cerebral hemispheres. The knowledge of these specialist centres and their interrelations should be a precondition for the investigation of laterality.
