Evropská unie (EU) jako aktér mezinárodních vztahů sui generis rozvíjí své vztahy s aktéry mimo EU skrze politiku mezinárodní identity. Výrazem mezinárodní identity je vnější evropeizace, tedy proces rozšiřování norem a hodnot spjatých s EU. Její uplatňování je studováno na případě Ukrajinské republiky v období od roku 1991 do roku 2008.The European Union (EU) as an international actor sui generis maintains and develops its rela-tions with actors external to the EU through the policy of international identity. The international identity of the EU is expressed through the process of external Europeanization. Europeanization as a process of diffusion of norms and values inherent to the EU is analysed on the case of the Republic of Ukraine in the period between 1991 and 2008.
