Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahy mezi Evropskou unií (EU) a zeměmi Afriky, Karibiku a Tichomoří (ACP) podle Dohody z Cotonou podepsané v roce 2000. Důraz je přitom kladen na spolupráci v oblasti obchodní a politické spolupráce. Práce argumentuje, že Dohoda z Cotonou vede k nerovnému partnerství mezi EU a zeměmi ACP. Především Dohody o ekonomickém partnerství (EPAs) mohou ohrozit křehký proces regionální integrace a vystavit producenty ze zemí ACP nerovné konkurenci ze strany EU. Evropská komise dosud nepředložila alternativu k EPAs navzdory neochotě zemí ACP přistoupit na tyto dohody. V politické oblasti EU prosadila do Dohody ustanovení týkající se dodržování lidských práv, demokratických principů, právního státu a řádné správy věcí veřejných opět navzdory výhradám ze strany zemí ACP. Následkem toho začínají zejména africké země stále více spolupracovat s Čínou, která svou spolupráci ničím takovým nepodmiňuje.This Bachelor's thesis deals with the relationships between the European Union (EU) and the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) states after the Cotonou Agreement signed in 2000. The emphasis is put on the cooperation in the trading and political area. The thesis argues that the Cotonou Agreement leads to an unequal partnership between the EU and the ACP countries. Particularly the Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) can endanger the fragile process of the regional integration and expose ACP producers to an unfair competition from the EU. European Commission has not proposed an alternative to EPAs despite the reluctance against these agreements from the ACP countries. In political dimension the EU pushed to include the provisions of respect for human rights, democratic principles, rule of law and good governance into the Agreement again despite the reservations from the ACP countries. Consequently, particularly African countries start to cooperate increasingly with China coming with none of the conditionality.
