Cílem mé diplomové práce je zejména zmapovat právní úpravu institutu chráněného svědka v České republice. V práci se také věnuji sociálním, psychologickým a pedagogickým aspektům ochrany svědka. Komparací se zahraničními prameny a vlastními zkušenostmi z praxe poukazuji na některé nedostatky současné legislativy v České republice a de lege ferenda navrhuji jejich odstranění.The aim of my thesis is above all the mapping of the institute of witness protection in the Czech Republic. I analyse the social, psychological and pedagogical aspects of witness protection as well. By comparing the foreign sources and my own practical experience I would like to highlight the drawbacks of the current legislation in the Czech Republic and I suggest, de lege ferenda, the ways to eliminate them.
