Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou domácího násilí. Teoretická část je rozdělena do pěti kapitol. Jsou zde popsány základní formy, druhy a příčiny domácího násilí, dále osobnost pachatele i oběti a nestátní organizace pomáhající obětem domácího násilí. Těžiště práce je v páté kapitole, kde prezentuji legislativu a legislativní změny jež se staly významným krokem v boji proti domácímu násilí a na nezastupitelnou roli Policie ČR, její úkoly a postup při řešení domácího násilí. Cílem praktické části je zjistit informovanost policistů o problematice domácího násilí a jejich připravenost k zákrokům při řešení této problematiky.This diploma thesis deal with the problem of domestic violence, which is nowadays very actual all-society problem. The theoretical part is divided into five chapters. Here are described basic forms, kinds and causes of domestic violence, then the personality of the offender and the victim, but also the private organizations helping the victims of domestic violence. The focus of diploma thesis is in chapter five, where I present the legislation and it changes, which have became the main procedure step against domestic violence. Also I advent to non- fungible part of the Czech republic Police, its commitments and procedure in investigation of domestic violence. The aim of practical part is to find policeman's foreknowledges about the theme domestic violence and their readiness to make steps to solve this problem.
