Obsahem příspěvku je problematika motorického učení a motorické kontroly pohybu. Autor syntetizuje poznatky o různých přístupech k motorickému učení a podrobněji rozebírá nejznámější teorie motorického učení (teorie znalosti výsledku, Adamsova teorie uzavřené smyčky, Schmidtova schema-teorie). Dále autor stručně pojednává o vlastních výsledcích více než desetiletého výzkumu v oblasti motorického učení a stanovuje problémy a perspektivy dalšího výzkumu v oblasti motorického učení.
