Autoři se zabývají strukturou motorických schopností s důrazem na koordinační schopnosti. Vycházejíce z rozdělení HIRTZe (1985), identifikovali u souborů dívek (n=107) a hochů (n=120) metodou faktorové analýzy šest faktorů. Pět z těchto faktorů interpretují jako typické koordinační schopnosti: reakční rychlost, frekvence pohybu, senzomotorická diferenciace, prostorová orientace, rovnováhová schopnost. Šestý faktor autoři interpretují jako obratnost a chápou ji jako schopnost hybridní.
