Základním úkolem studie bylo ověření validity expertního systému vytvořeného ke studiu výkonnosti mladých lyžařů ve věku 13-14 let. Validita byla ověřována korelací mezi aktuálním výsledkem závodu a vypočítanou potenciální výkonností pomocí expertního systému.
