Základním výzkumným problémem našeho výzkumu bylo srovnání rozdílností v rámci proxemické neverbální složky komunikace napříč skutečným a virtuálním prostředím. Zajímalo nás zejména uživatelské vnímání okolního prostředí a umístěného agenta uvnitř tohoto prostředí. Výzkum rovněž zahrnoval NEO osobnostní inventář a škálu IPQ. Získaná data jsme statisticky ověřili t-testem pro jeden výběr, testem Pearsonova a Spearmanova korelačního koeficientu a Welchovým testem. Výsledky potvrdili signifikantně větší vzdálenosti respondentů od agenta uvnitř VR prostředí. Rovněž respondenti s nižší tělesnou výškou si udržovali od agenta uvnitř VR významně větší rozestup. Vliv ostatních zkoumaných proměnných se nepotvrdil. The primary research problem of our study was to compare the differences within the proxemic non-verbal component of communication across real and virtual environments. We were particularly interested in users' perception of the surrounding environment and the agent placed within this environment. Additionally, we explored the differences in gender and body height across the territorial behavior of both genders. We also focused on the influence of the degree of experienced immersion and the level of differences in behavior within VR and real environment. Lastly, we were interested in whether the personality dimension of extraversion affects the resulting proxemic behavior of respondents. We decided to conduct the research through an experiment involving both VR and real environments. The research also included the NEO personality inventory and the IPQ scale. Collected data were statistically verified using a one-sample t-test, Pearson's and Spearman's correlation coefficient tests, and Welch's test. The results confirmed significantly greater distances of respondents from the agent within the VR environment. Also, respondents with lower body height maintained a significantly greater distance from the agent inside VR. The influence of the other hypotethised variables was not significantly confirmed.
