Ce mémoire de licence a pour objet de montrer le rôle de l´espace et la maniére de sa représentation dans trois romans choisis d´Émile Zola - L´Assommoir, Nana et La Bete humaine. Dans la partie théorique, il se concentre sur l´espace en tant qu´une catégorie narratologique, il présente le romancier et sa production littéraire, et s´achéve avec une présentation du naturalisme et du cycle romanesque Rougon-Macquart. La partie analytique propose une analyse des éléments typiques dans la description de l´espace, une analyse des objets et des rapports entre l´espace et les personnages.The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is to show the role of space and the way it is represented in three selected novels by Émile Zola - L'Assommoir, Nana and The Beast in Men. The theoretical section focuses on space as a narratological category, introduces the novelist and his literary output, and concludes with a presentation of naturalism and the Rougon-Macquart novel cycle. The analytical section analyses typical features in the description of the space, the objects and the relationship between the space and the characters.
