In dieser Arbeit wird die Übersetzung des Romans von Michail Scholochow in die deutsche Sprache analysiert und mit dem Ausgangstext verglichen. Im Fokus der Analyse stehen v. a. Strategien der Übertragung von Realienbezeichnungen - kulturspezifischen Elementen im Ausgangstext, für die Abwesenheit eines Referenten in der Zielsprache kennzeichnend ist.This thesis analyzes the translation of Mikhail Sholokhov's novel Tikhiy Don into German and compares it to the source text. The emphasis is put on strategies used to transfer realia, i. e. culturally specific elements in the source text, for which correspondences in the target language are absent.
