Bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu percepce centra a periferie. Zkoumá za pomoci mentální mapy, jak se obyvatelé města orientují v prostoru olomouckých městských částí a samotného města Olomouc. Sběr dat probíhal vyplňováním slepé mapy v online prostředí. Respondenti zakreslovali nejprve čtvrť, ve které bydlí, následně další čtvrtě, které znají a nakonec, kde jsou podle nich hranice města Olomouc. Výzkum byl doplněn o otázky ohledně pohlaví a věku respondentů pro demografickou analýzu a o otázky na trvalé bydliště v Olomouci, popřípadě za jakým účelem do města jezdí. Analýza odpovědí z mapy proběhla za využití softwaru QGIS. Záměrem bylo nalezení shody odpovědí z mentální mapy se skutečnými hranicemi oblastí u městských částí s nejvyšším počtem odpovědí nebo u těch, které byly autorkou vybrány jako zajímavé. Práce nakonec zhodnocuje, jak participace občanů a znalost města může ovlivňovat jeho rozvoj.The bachelor thesis is dealing with the topic of perception of the centre and the periphery. With the help of a mental map, it investigates how the inhabitants of the city orient themselves in the space of Olomouc's city districts and the city of Olomouc itself. Data collection took place by filling in a blind map in an online environment. The respondents first drew the district in which they live, then other districts they know, and finally where they think the boundaries of the city of Olomouc are. The research was supplemented with questions about the gender and age of the respondents for demographic analysis and questions about permanent residence in Olomouc, or for what purpose they go to the city. Analysis of responses from the map was done by using QGIS software. The aim was finding a match between the responses from mental map with the actual boundaries of the areas for the city districts with the highest number of responses or those selected as interesting by the author. The work finally evaluates how citizen participation and knowledge of the city can influence its development.
