Diplomová práce se věnuje prarodičům osob se zrakovým postižením a jejich rolí v životě těchto osob. Teoretická část je tvořena ze tří kapitol - prarodičovství, prarodiče vnoučete se zdravotním postižením a zrakové postižení. Hlavním cílem práce bylo analyzovat pohled prarodičů na roli prarodiče vnoučete se zrakovým postižením. Výzkumu se účastnilo devět prarodičů, pět žen a čtyři muži. Samotný sběr dat probíhal prostřednictvím polostrukturovaného rozhovoru. Ke zpracování a analýze dat byla využita transkripce a obsahová analýza. Výsledky výzkumu jsou prezentovány v dílčích oblastech (proces vyrovnávání se s diagnózou vnoučete, zapojení prarodičů do péče o vnouče se zrakovým postižením, zapojení prarodičů do speciálněpedagogické intervence, změny v osobním životě prarodičů, vztah prarodičů s vnoučetem a rodiči vnoučete), které se shodují s výzkumnými otázkami.The diploma thesis is devoted to the grandparents of visually impaired people and their role in the lives of these people. The theoretical part is made up of three chapters - grandparenting, grandparents of grandchildren with disability and visual impairment. The main goal of the work was to analyze the grandparents' view of the role of the grandparent of a visually impaired grandchild. Nine grandparents, five women and four men, participated in the research. The data collection itself took place through a semi-structured interview. Transcription and content analysis were used to process and analyze the data. The research results are presented in sub-areas (the process of coping with a grandchild's diagnosis, the involvement of grandparents in the care of a visually impaired grandchild, the involvement of grandparents in a special educational intervention, changes in the personal life of grandparents, the relationship between grandparents and the grandchild and the grandchild's parents), which coincide with research questions.
