Tato magisterská diplomová práce představuje nejvýznamnějšího spisovatele čínské dětské literatury Cao Wenxuana (1954) a knihu Qingtong Kuihua (2005) (Bronz a Slunečnice). V roce 2016 se Cao Wenxuan stal prvním čínským autorem, který získal mezinárodní cenu Hanse Christiana Andersena za dětskou literaturu, což zapříčinilo narůstající pozornost čtenářů i médií. Mezinárodní zájem o autorovo dílo byl podpořen anglickým překladem díla s názvem Bronze and Sunflower (2015) vyhotoveným Helen Wang (1965), který získal taktéž několik ocenění. Cílem práce je odpovědět na otázky: 1) Jakým způsobem je čtenáři prezentováno období Kulturní revoluce v knize Qingtong Kuihua? 2) Jak bylo přijato dílo autora Cao Wenxuana a jeho knihy Qingtong Kuihua mezi čtenáři a kritiky v západní a čínské kultuře? 3) Jaký je vztah mezi tématem dětské literatury a genderovými stereotypy a jak lze tyto stereotypy zaznamenat v díle Qingtong Kuihua? Odpovědi na otázky budou získány na základě primární a sekundární literatury. Mezi primární zdroje bude patřit dílo autora, recenze, média a diskuze zveřejněné zejména v rozmezí od roku 2016 do současnosti. Zároveň se práce bude zaměřovat na to, jaký vliv měl anglický překlad na celkovou prezentaci díla. Součástí této práce bude překlad vybraných pasáží z čínského originálu do češtiny.This master thesis focuses on the introduction of the most known writer of Chinese children's literature, Cao Wenxuan (1954) and Qingtong Kuihua (2005) (Bronze and Sunflower). In 2016, Cao Wenxuan became the first Chinese author to win the international Hans Christian Andersen Prize for Children's Literature, which has caused increasing attention from readers and media. The international interest in the author's work was fueled by the English translation of Bronze and Sunflower (2015) by Helen Wang (1965), which has also won several awards. This paper aims to answer the following questions: 1) How is the Cultural Revolution period presented to the reader in Qingtong Kuihua? 2) How has the work of author Cao Wenxuan and his book Qingtong Kuihua been received by readers and critics in Western and Chinese culture? 3) What is the relationship between the theme of children's literature and gender stereotypes, and how can these stereotypes be observed in the work of Qingtong Kuihua? The answers to these questions will be obtained from the primary and secondary literature. Primary sources will include the author's work, reviews, media, and discussions published mainly between 2016 and the present. At the same time, the thesis will focus on how the English translation has influenced the overall presentation of the work. This thesis will include the translation of selected passages from the Chinese original into Czech language.
