V disertační práci se zaměřujeme na problematiku interkulturní kompetence vysokoškolského učitele. V rámci teoretické části disertační práce jsou definovány pojmy kultura a její dimenze, multikulturalismus, interkulturalismus, kompetence, interkulturní kompetence a student z odlišného sociokulturního prostředí. V empirické části disertační práce jsou uvedeny výsledky předvýzkumných šetření zaměřených na vnímání hodnoty vzdělání u studentů z odlišného sociokulturního prostředí, následně posouzení těchto studentů ze strany jejich vyučujících. Na základě výsledků bylo možné navrhnout řešení pro zefektivnění této interakce, jimž je rozvoj interkulturní kompetence na straně vysokoškolských učitelů. Následuje hlavní výzkum disertační práce smíšeného designu qualquan, v jehož rámci si klademe za cíl konstruovat model interkulturní kompetence, který by byl aplikovatelný pro české vysokoškolské prostředí. V kvalitativní části disertační práce je pozornost soustředěna na zjištění, analýzu a interpretaci potřeb vysokoškolských učitelů na konstrukci modelu interkulturní kompetence. Odpovědi respondentů z kvalitativní části slouží jako základna pro tvorbu výroků v části kvantitativní, kde za výzkumný nástroj byla zvolena Q-metodologie. Na základě výsledků bylo možné konstruovat model interkulturní kompetence, který je však nutné dále zkoumat a ověřovat.The dissertation thesis is focused on the issue of intercultural competence of a university teacher. The theoretical part of the dissertation defines the terms culture and its dimensions, multiculturalism, interculturalism, competences, intercultural competences and students from different socio-cultural backgrounds. The empirical part of the dissertation presents the results of preliminary research focused on the perception of the value of education among students from different socio-cultural backgrounds, followed by the assessment of these students by their teachers. Based on the results, it was possible to propose solutions to streamline this interaction, which is the development of intercultural competence on the part of university teachers. The main research of the dissertation of mixed design qual quan follows this, in which we aim to construct a model of intercultural competence that would be applicable to the Czech university environment. In the qualitative part of the dissertation, the identification, analysis and interpretation of the needs of university teachers in the construction process of a model of intercultural competence is researched. The answers of the respondents from the qualitative part serve as a basis for the creation of statements in the quantitative part, where the Q-methodology was chosen as a research tool. Based on the results, it was possible to construct a model of intercultural competence, which, however, needs to be further researched and verified.
