Čáp bílý hnízdí po celé České republice od nadmořské výšky cca 150 do 801 m. n. m.(v obci Zbytiny). Jeho cesta na zimoviště je velmi náročná, a proto je zdrojem vysoké mortality. V roce 1934 došlo k prvnímu mezinárodnímu sčítání čápů bílých v Evropě. V tomto roce bylo na území ČR evidováno 202 hnízdících párů. V roce 1958 bylo v Čechách zaznamenáno již 319 hnízdících párů. V roce 2001 byly počty už mnohem vyšší - evidováno 1282 hnízd, ale od roku 2002 byly počty čápů bílých nižší a nižší. V roce 1981 vznikla pod vedením pana Bohumila Rejmana Pracovní skupina pro výzkum, ochranu a evidenci čápa bílého v České republice. Vznikla kartotéka s detailními údaji o hnízdech a díky tomu jsou k dispozici archivované hnízdní karty a ročenky o stavu populace v letech 1984-2004. Od r. 2005 do r. 2013 došlo k výpadku a nejsou žádné informace o počtech čápů bílých v ČR. V této bakalářské práci jsem se zabývala rozšířením daného druhu v ČR v letech 2015-2021. Data mi poskytla Česká společnost ornitologická, díky které jsem mohla vypracovat tuto bakalářskou práci. Během tohoto období byl zřejmý nárůst početnosti hnízdících párů čápa bílého. Počty nyní narůstají. Podle České společnosti ornitologické byl rok 2021 pro čápy rekordní sezónou, kdy bylo vyvedeno 1564 mláďat na 570 hnízdech.The white stork nests all over the Czech Republic from an altitude of 150 up to 801 m above sea level (in the village Zbytiny). Its journey to the wintering ground is very demanding, and therefore it is a source of high mortality. In 1934, the first international census of white storks took place in Europe. This year, 202 nesting pairs were registered in the Czech Republic. In 1958, there were already 319 nesting pairs recorded in Bohemia. In 2001, the numbers were much higher - 1282 nests registered, but since 2002, the numbers of white storks have been lower and lower. In 1981, a working group for research, protection and registration of white storks in the Czech Republic was established under the leadership of Mr. Bohumil Rejman. A file with detailed data on nests was created, and thanks to this, archived nesting cards and yearbooks on the state of the population in the years 1984-2004 are available. There was an outage from 2005 to 2013 and there is no information on the numbers of white storks in the Czech Republic. In this bachelor thesis I dealt with the distribution of the species in the Czech Republic in the years 2015-2021. The data were provided to me by the Czech Ornithological Society, thanks to which I was able to prepare this bachelor's thesis. During this period, there was an obvious increase in the number of nesting pairs of white storks. The numbers are growing now. According to the Czech Ornithological Society, the year 2021 was a record season for storks, when 1564 cubs were bred on 570 nests.
