Prezentované poznatky byly dohledány z článků v elektronických vědeckých databázích a odborné literatuře.The objective of this thesis was to summarize the current searchable resources about radionuclide examination of the skeleton in nuclear medicine. First, the discipline nuclear medicine is introduced and the composition of bone tissue is briefly described. Then the work is structured into three parts. The first part is devoted to radiopharmaceuticals, specifically 99mTc-diphosphonates for conventional bone scintigraphy and 18F-NaF for PET imaging. The content of the second part of the bachelor thesis is an overview of possible indications for bone scintigraphy. The last part deals with the examination itself, first the preparation of the patient, then the acquisition of images and then the interpretation of the acquired images. The retrieved information mentioned in the bachelor thesis can be helpful to radiologic technologists working in nuclear medicine in the performance of their profession and can also serve as a study material for students of Radiologic technology. The presented information was obtained from articles in electronic scientific databases and professional literature.
