Cílem přehledové bakalářské práce bylo sumarizovat aktuální publikované poznatky, které se zabývají způsoby, pomocí kterých jsme schopni léčit různé druhy karcinomů štítné žlázy. Všechny relevantní dokumenty, využité pro tvorbu teoretických východisek, byly dohledány ve veřejně dostupných elektronických vědeckých databázích EBSCO, Medvik, ProQuest a Science Direct. Cíl práce je rozveden a blíže specifikován do čtyř dílčích cílů. První cíl je zaměřen na souhrn obecných poznatků, které se týkají karcinomů štítné žlázy. Druhý cíl spočívá v popisu rizikových faktorů, které přispívají ke vzniku a rozvoji karcinomů štítné žlázy. Třetím cílem je popsat diagnostiku a terapii diferencovaných a nediferencovaných karcinomů štítné žlázy. A posledním cílem je sumarizace dostupných poznatků, které jsou specifické pro léčbu dětských a dospívajících pacientů. Dohledané poznatky zmíněné v bakalářské práci mohou pomoci zdravotnickým pracovníkům, absolventům a studentům programu radiologická asistence lépe porozumět a pochopit na jakém principu se zakládají jednotlivé terapeutické metody. Studenti by dále mohli tyto informace využít při studiu, ke zdokonalení svých stávajících znalostí nebo jako přípravu na výkon odborné praxe.The objective of this thesis was summarizing the current published resources that deal with the ways in which we are able to treat different types of thyroid cancer. All relevant documents establishing of theoretical background were found in electronic information databases such as EBSCO, Medvik, ProQuest and Science Direct. The aim of the thesis is further elaborated and specified into four main sub-objectives. The first objective is focused on the summary of the knowledge related to the thyroid cancer. The second objective is to describe the risk factors that contribute to the occurrence and development of thyroid carcinomas. The third objective is to describe the treatment of differentiated and undifferentiated thyroid carcinomas. And the last objective is to summarize the available knowledge specific to the treatment of pediatric and adolescent patients. Results of the research mentioned in the thesis can help medical staff, graduates and students of radiology programs to better understand and comprehend the principles behind the various therapeutic methods. Furthermore, students can use this information in their studies, to improve their existing knowledge or as preparation for professional practice.
