Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado estudió el uso de los anglicismos en la prensa espaňola a lo largo del tiempo. El objetivo principal de la investigación fue mostrar los cambios en la frecuencia de los préstamos del inglés en los últimos 40 aňos. Se examinaron tres cuestiones. La principal era si la frecuencia de los anglicismos cambiaba con el tiempo. A continuación, examinamos si las palabras aparecían con más frecuencia en alguno de los temas que en los demás. Lo último que nos interesaba era averiguar cómo se marcaban estos préstamos lingüísticos en el resto del texto periodístico. Los datos se obtuvieron de artículos de El País de cinco aňos diferentes (1980, 1990, 2000, 2010 y 2020).This bachelor's thesis focuses on the use of Anglicisms in the Spanish press over time. The main objective of the research was to show the changes in the frequency of English borrowings over the last 40 years. Three topics were examined. The main focus was whether the frequency of anglicisms changes over time. Next, we looked at the frequency of the words in different sections of the newspaper analysed. The last thing we were interested in was finding out how these linguistic borrowings were marked in the rest of journalistic papers. The data were obtained from articles in El País from five different years (1980, 1990, 2000, 2010 and 2020).
