Magisterská diplomová práce pojednává o proměně reprezentace ženského těla v devíti vybraných filmech italského režiséra Daria Argenta, jež spadají do subžánru giallo. Tato práce seznamuje čtenáře s postuláty subžánru a rozebírá změny subžánru provedené či vyvolané režisérem. Na proměnu reprezentace žen a jejich těl je nahlíženo nejen ze strany žánrového vývoje v letech 1970-2010, ale také v korelaci se změnou feministického myšlení. Cílem představené diplomové práce je prozkoumat, pomocí jakých naratologických a stylistických proměn Dario Argento postupně změnil strukturu žánru giallo a jakým způsobem výše zmíněná strukturní změna ovlivnila samotnou reprezentaci žen a jejich těl napříč jeho tvorbou.The master's thesis focuses on changes in female body representation in nine selected films created by the Italian director Dario Argento, that belong to the giallo subgenre. This work introduces the postulates of giallo to the reader and analyzes the changes that were made to the subgenre by the director. The changes in representation of women and their bodies are analyzed not only against the background of the subgenre development in 1970-2010, but as well as against the backdrop of changes in the feminist thinking. The submitted thesis aims to analyze and identify narrative and stylistic changes made by the director that subsequently influenced the very structure of giallo, and how these above-mentioned subgenre changes influenced the women's and their bodies' representation in the creative work of Dario Argento.
