Předkládaná diplomová práce popisuje modlitbu u tří velkých karmelských světic. První část práce se zabývá modlitbou. Definuje ji a popisuje způsoby a druhy modlitby. Na příkladech osobnosti Písma svatého ukazuje, jaká byla jejich modlitební praxe. A dále se dovídáme o vzniku karmelského řádu a o jeho spiritualitě. Druhá část práce se zaměřuje na Terezii z Ávily, Terezii z Lisieux a Terezii Benediktu od Kříže, a především na jejich učení o modlitbě.The thesis submitted describes prayer at three great Carmelite saints. The first part deals with prayer. It defines it and describes various ways and kinds of prayer. Using examples of the personalities from the Holy Writ it shows their prayer practice. We also learn about the origins of the Carmelite order and its spirituality. The second part of the thesis focuses on Teresa of Avila, Therese of Lisieux and Theresa Benedict of the Cross, it mainly deals with their teaching on prayer.
