The aim of this bachelor thesis was the electrochemical determination of antibiotic ampicillin. For this purpose, two different electrochemical setups were employed: a standard three-electrode system based on glassy carbon working electrode (GCE) and screen-printed carbon electrodes (SPCE). Graphene derivatives were used as modifiers in both setups. Furthermore, the effect of these 2D materials on the electrode response was investigated and their deposition on the electrode surface was optimized. Obtained results of this work indicate the great potential for the development of an electrochemical sensor suitable for the detection of antibiotics or resistant bacteria that degrade antibiotics.
