Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, jak je implementovaná školní sociální práce ve Velké Británii a jaká je pracovní náplň školního sociálního pracovníka na základních školách. Jde o teoretickou práci zpracovanou formou přehledové studie. V první je vymezen výzkumný problém, cíle práce a její metodologii. V druhé kapitole je krátké seznámení s britským školským systémem. Třetí kapitola se věnuje školní sociální práci, její historii, organizacím figurujícím v oblasti školní sociální práce, vymezení školní sociální práce a legislativní vymezení působení sociálního pracovníka a dalších podpůrných pracovníků ve školách. Čtvrtá kapitola se věnuje školnímu sociálnímu pracovníkovi, kvalifikaci potřebné k výkonu jeho práce, vymezení pozice a rolí. V závěru kapitoly je stručné seznámení s pozicemi školního psychologa, pastoračního pracovníka a speciálního pedagoga. Pátá kapitola je věnována školní docházce, její nastínění v rámci legislativy a popis rolí jednotlivých aktérů, kteří mají vliv na školní docházku dětí. Závěr práce je věnován diskusi a shrnutí výsledků práce.The aim of the master's thesis is to explore how school social work is implemented in the United Kingdom and what the job description of a school social worker is in primary schools. It is a theoretical work presented in the form of a review study. The first chapter defines the research problem, the objectives of the thesis, and its methodology. The second chapter provides a brief overview of the British educational system. The third chapter focuses on school social work, including its history, organizations involved in the field of school social work, the definition of school social work and the legislative framework for the roles of social workers and other support staff in schools. The fourth chapter examines the school social worker, the qualifications required for the job, and the definition of their position and roles. The conclusion of the chapter briefly introduces the positions of the school psychologist, pastoral worker, and special educator. The fifth chapter is dedicated to school attendance, outlining it within the framework of legislation and describing the roles of various actors who influence children's school attendance. The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to the discussion and summary of the research results.
