Cílem této diplomové práce bylo zkoumat míru naplnění a důležitosti potřeb u pacientů s onkologickým onemocněním v porovnání s pacienty s pokročilým chronickým onemocněním v rámci paliativní péče. Výzkum byl prováděn jako kvantitativní studie s použitím měřícího nástroje s názvem Hodnocení potřeb pacientů v paliativní péči (PNAP). Výzkumný soubor tvořilo celkem 126 respondentů, a výzkumné šetření bylo prováděno jak v nemocničním zařízení, tak v lůžkovém hospici. Z výsledků výzkumné části diplomové práce je patrné, že míra důležitosti potřeb se lišila u obou skupin pacientů. U pacientů s onkologickým onemocněním byla nejvíce důležitou oblastí autonomie, zatímco pacienti s pokročilým chronickým onemocněním upřednostňovali fyzické potřeby. Nicméně, výsledky naznačily podobnou míru naplnění potřeb mezi oběma skupinami, přičemž v obou skupinách byly nejvíce naplněné potřeby identifikovány v oblasti sociální. Výsledky také ukázaly, že v obou skupinách pacientů neexistuje vliv na hodnocení důležitosti potřeb v souvislosti s věkem pacientů, ale prokázal se signifikantní rozdíl u onkologických pacientů i u pacientů s pokročilým chronickým onemocněním v hodnocení důležitosti potřeb v závislosti na pohlaví v paliativní péči. Výsledky tohoto výzkumu mají potenciál poskytnout užitečné informace pro zlepšení poskytované péče těmto specifickým skupinám pacientů a přispět k lepšímu porozumění jejich individuálním potřebám. Tato práce poukazuje na význam paliativní péče a zdůrazňuje potřebu zaměřit se na důležité aspekty péče a poskytnout podporu a péči v souladu s individuálními potřebami pacientů.The aim of this thesis was to investigate the level of fulfilment and importance of needs in patients with cancer compared to patients with advanced chronic disease in palliative care. The research was conducted as a quantitative study using the Patient Needs Assessment in Palliative Care (PNAP) measurement tool. The research sample consisted of a total of 126 respondents, and the research survey was conducted in both a hospital setting and an inpatient hospice. From the results of the research part of the thesis, it is evident that the level of importance of needs differed for both groups of patients. For cancer patients, autonomy was the most important area, while patients with advanced chronic illness prioritized physical needs. However, results indicated similar levels of need fulfilment between the two groups, with the most fulfilled needs identified in the social domain in both groups. The results also showed that there was no effect of patient age on ratings of the importance of needs in both groups, but there was a significant difference in the ratings of the importance of needs by gender in palliative care for both cancer patients and patients with advanced chronic disease. The results of this research have the potential to provide useful information to improve the care provided to these specific patient groups and to contribute to a better understanding of their individual needs. This work highlights the importance of palliative care and emphasises the need to focus on important aspects of care and to provide support and care in line with patients' individual needs.
