Cílem této bakalářské práce je analyzovat překlad větných kondenzorů, které se nachází v textu knihy Harry Potter and the Philosopher´s Stone, s přihlédnutím k situacím, kdy i v českém textu bylo užito kondenzovaných prostředků. Překladatelské strategie užité Vladimírem Medkem jsou opatřeny komentářem. Práce zkoumá, jak vypadá překlad větných kondenzorů v reálném textu literárního díla na pozadí teoretických poznatků o větné kondenzaci. V závěru jsou podíly jednotlivých strategií vyjádřeny číselně pomocí grafů.The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze the translation of English non-finite structures as a means of condensation found in the text of the book Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, taking into account the situations where these structures were translated using Czech equivalents as a means of condensation. The translation strategies used by Vladimír Medek are provided with a commentary. This bachelor's thesis examines what the translation of the so called sentence condensers looks like in a real text of a literary work against the background of theoretical knowledge about sentence condensation. At the end, the ratio of translation strategies is expressed in numbers using graphs.
