Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem smrti a umítání v pobytových zařízeních pro seniory. Cílem práce je definovat potřebu umírajících zemřít doma, v tomto případě v domově pro seniory, a identifikovat jejich potřeby ve fázi umírání. Dalším cílem je porovnat umírání s konceptem paliativní péče a bez něho a upozornit na deficit dostatečného využití sociální práce v této problematice. Metoda zvolená pro realizaci práce je přehledová studie. K získávání informací jem používala odbornou literaturu z oboru thanatologie, sociální práce se seniory a literaturu věnující se konceptu péče na paliativním přístupu.This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of death and dying in residential facilities for the elderly. The aim of the thesis is to define the needs of the dying to die at home, in this case in a retirement home, and to identify their needs in the dying phase. A further strength is to compare dying with and without the concept of palliative care and to highlight the deficit of under-utilization of social work in this issue. The method chosen to carry out this work is a review study. To gather information I used literature from the field of thanatology, social work with the elderly and literature dealing with the concept of palliative care.
