Předložená práce sleduje západní linii teologie a spirituality theosis. V první části je představen její vývoje od základů v teologii apoštola Pavla přes Ireneje, Augustina, Bernarda a německou mystiku až k Lutherovi, tedy nescholastická, monastická teologie; poté se autor zabývá Flogausovým srovnáním Lutherovy a Palamovy teorie a v návaznosti na to i dalšími současnými autory, inspirovanými patristickou koncepcí theosis. V poslední části je tématizována alternativní scholastická teologie. Autor podrobně představuje současnou diskusi o deifikaci u Tomáše Akvinského a poté i moderní katolické koncepce deifikace (Arintero, Adam, Scheeben, Urs von Balthasar) a ohlasy této tradice v liturgii a Katechismu katolické církve.The presented work follows the western line of theology and spirituality of theosis. The first part presents its development from the foundations in the theology of the Apostle Paul through Irenaeus, Augustine, Bernard and German mysticism to Luther, ie non-scholastic, monastic theology; then the author deals with Flogaus's comparison of Luther's and Palama's theory and, in connection with that, also other contemporary authors, inspired by the patristic concept of theosis. The last part deals with alternative scholastic theology. The author presents in detail the current discussion of deification in Thomas Aquinas and then the modern Catholic conception of deification (Arintero, Adam, Scheeben, Urs von Balthasar) and the responses of this tradition in the liturgy and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
