Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá srovnáním českých a nizozemských lidových pohádek. Práce se ve dvou kapitolách věnuje historii a vývoji lidových příběhů, pohádek a nadpřirozených postav v obou jazykových oblastech. V dalších dvou kapitolách je podrobněji popsána postava svatého Mikuláše, příběh a tradice s ní spojené. Dále se práce zabývá čarodějnicemi v obou jazykových oblastech. V poslední kapitole je uvedeno porovnání.This bachelor thesis focuses on a comparison of Czech and Dutch folk tales. In two chapters the thesis deals with the history and evolution of folk stories, fairy tales and supernatural characters in both language areas. In the next two chapters, the figure of St. Nicholas, the story and traditions associated with him are described in more detail. Furthermore, the thesis deals with witches in both language areas. In the last chapter a comparison is made.
