Úvod práce je venovaný René-Louisovi Bairovy. V Kapitole 2 sú uvedené definície a lemy, ktoré sa v práci vyskytujú, resp. využívajú opakovane. Tretia kapitola sa venuje Baireovej vete o kategóriách. Kapitola 4 zoznamuje s funkciami 1. Baireovej triedy. V ďalšej kapitole je dokázané tvrdenie, ktoré charakterizuje funkcie 1. Baireovej triedy pomocou vzorov otvorených množín. Nasleduje Kapitola 6, ktorá prináša poznatok o množinách bodov nespojitosti. Siedma kapitola obsahuje centrálne tvrdenie práce, ktoré charakterizuje Baireovské funkcie 1. triedy pomocou existencie bodov spojitosti reštrikcií týchto funkcií vzhľadom k uzavretým množinám. V poslednej kapitole sú uvedené rôzne funkcie a ich vzťah k 1. Baireovej triede.The introduction of the thesis is about René-Louis Baire. Chapter 2 contains definitions and lemmas that are used repeatedly further in the thesis. Third chapter talks about Baire category theorem. In Chapter 4, we define Baire class one functions functions. In following chapter we show characterisation of Baire class one functions by examining preimages of open sets. Chapter 6 describes some properties of sets of discontinuities of Baire class one functions. Chapter 7 contains the most important theorem of this thesis, which characterise Baire class one functions via existence of points of continuity of restrictions of such functions with respect to closed sets. In the last chapter, we show different functions and their relation to Baire class one.
