Práce diskutuje existenci (aktuálního) nekonečna jak v realitě, tak v abstrakci. Protože je empirie primární kritérium pravdy přírodních věd, snaží se nejprve na mnoha fyzikálních příkladech ukázat, že nekonečno v realitě neexistuje. Vytváří tak základ pro empirický axiom neexistence nekonečna ve skutečném světě, jakýsi "horror infinitatis". Dále zkoumá existenci nekonečna v abstrakci, k čemuž používá argumenty z nestandardní analýzy, z filosofie vědy (falsifikaci) a fenomenologie. Zkoumají se matematické i nematematické abstrakce, např. vývoj obecné abstrakce v ontogenezi psychiky člověka, historický vývoj jazyka, písma a peněz. Provádí se stručná analýza pojmu skutečnost, ze které vyplývá, že realita je v podstatě komplexní objektivní abstrakce. Sjednocení abstrakce a reality, navazující třeba na mnohá sjednocení "světa" nejen ve fyzice, se používá k rozhodnutí otázky, existuje-li nekonečno v abstrakci. Široké zkoumání se provádí proto, aby byla abstrakce zkoumána s odstupem, s nadhledem, a to časovým i oborovým. Tento interdisciplinárně široký a časově perspektivní přístup umožňuje také lepší pochopení matematické abstrakce, která je obtížně poznatelná z noeticky3 blízkého pohledu samotné matematiky, jež s nekonečnem prioritně zachází. Matematika se totiž nezabývá termíny jako je existence, abstrakce, absolutnost atd., které nicméně mají pro poznání vlastností matematických abstrakcí zcela zásadní roli. Dalším tématem, které se za účelem zkoumání nekonečna používá, je analýza dichotomie absolutního a relativního. Uzavírá se, že lidské poznání je faktem poznávacího centra (subjektu) uvězněno v konečné a relativní oblasti. Na tomto základě se formuluje totální fenomenologie a vykresluje se negativní absolutno, čímž se konstituuje negativní metafyzika. Její nadhled se používá pro analýzu problému nekonečna v abstrakci. Práce se snaží lepším pochopením nekonečna nabídnout nástroj pro zefektivnění vědeckého pokroku v oblasti obecného teoretického uvažování, a to vyloučením nemožných variant (např. kvantového perpetua mobile v podobě časový krystalů) a nabídnutím variant dosud neuvažovaných.The work discusses the existence of (actual) infinity both in reality and in abstraction. Because empirics is the primary criterion of the truth of the natural sciences, it first seeks to show on many physical examples that infinity does not exist in reality, thus creating the basis for the empirical axiom of nonexistence of infinity in the real world, a kind of "horror infinitatis." It further examines the existence of infinity in abstraction, using arguments from non-standard analysis, philosophy of science (falsification) and phenomenology. Mathematical and non-mathematical abstractions are examined, such as the development of general abstraction in the ontogenesis of the human psyche, the historical development of language, writing and money. A brief analysis of the concept of reality is performed, which shows that reality is essentially a complex objective abstraction. The unification of abstraction and reality, following for example the many unifications of the "world" not only in physics, is used to decide the question whether infinity exists in abstraction. The wide investigation is performed to examine the abstraction from a distance, with an overview, both in terms of time and subject. This interdisciplinary broad and time-perspective approach also allows a better understanding of mathematical abstraction, which is difficult to identify from a noetically close perspective of mathematics itself, which treats infinity as a matter of priority. Mathematics also does not even deal with terms such as existence, abstraction, absoluteness, etc., which nevertheless play a crucial role in understanding the properties of mathematical abstractions. Another topic used for the study of infinity is the analysis of the dichotomy of absolute and relative. It is concluded that human knowledge is trapped in the finite and relative realm by the fact of the cognitive centre (subject). On this basis, the total phenomenology is formulated, and the negative absolute is drawn, thus constituting the negative metaphysics. Its overview is used to analyse the problem of infinity in abstraction. The work tries to offer a tool for streamlining scientific progress in the field of general theoretical reasoning by better understanding of infinity, by excluding impossible variants (e.g. quantum perpetual motion) and by offering variants not yet considered.
