Bakalářská práce analyzuje postavy z Bassova povídkového souboru Lidé z maringotek, přičemž se primárně soustředí na způsoby jejich charakterizace. V úvodu práce je představena osobnost Eduarda Basse a jeho literární tvorba. Následně se práce věnuje teoretickému vymezení literární postavy a způsobům charakterizace, přičemž byly klíčové aspekty vzhledu, jednání, promluvy, narativního vědomí a vlastního jména postavy. Cílem analýzy je demonstrovat, že se všechny způsoby charakterizace v povídkovém souboru nějakým způsobem projevují.The thesis analyses characters from Bass's short story collection 'Lidé z maringotek'. It primarily focuses on the ways of their characterization. The beginning of the thesis introduces the personality of Eduard Bass and his literary work. The thesis subsequentely deals with theoretical delimitation of a literary character and the ways of characterization whereas the key aspects are the appearence, behaviour, talk, narrative awareness and the name of the character itself. The aim of the analysis is to point out that the short story collection includes all the ways of characterization.
