Předmětem této diplomové práce je Dobrá smrt jako etické a právní dilema. Problematika dobré smrti je zkoumána z etického, morálního, a zejména právního hlediska. Analyzovány jsou i právní úpravy zahraničních států a jejich praktické dopady na tamní společnost. Hlavním cílem této práce je dojít k závěru, zda by eutanázie měla být legalizována v České republice, nebo ne. Diplomová práce je rozčleněna do pěti kapitol. První kapitola je zaměřena na obecné seznámení s tématem a vymezuje základní pojmy. Druhá kapitola komparuje právní úpravy evropských států, které již eutanázii nebo asistovanou sebevraždu legalizovaly. Ve třetí kapitole se práce věnuje analýze situace v České republice a zkoumá návrhy zákonů, jejichž cílem bylo uzákonit dobrou smrt i v naší zemi. Čtvrtá kapitola představuje argumenty svědčící ve prospěch legalizace eutanázie. Kapitola pátá naopak poukazuje na stinné stránky dobré smrti a předkládá argumenty, které její legalizaci nepodporují.The subject of this diploma thesis is The Ethical and Legal Dilemma of the Good Death. The topic of the good death is examined from an ethical, moral, and especially legal point of view. The legal regulations of foreign countries and their practical effects on the society are also analyzed. The main goal of this diploma thesis is to conclude whether should be euthanasia in the Czech Republic legalized. The diploma thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter focuses on a general introduction to the topic and defines the basic concepts. The second chapter compares the legal regulations of European states that have already legalized euthanasia or assisted suicide. In the third chapter, the thesis analyzes the situation in the Czech Republic and examines draft laws which are targeting the legalization of the good death in our country. The fourth chapter presents the arguments in favor of legalizing euthanasia. On the other hand, chapter five points out the dark side of the good death and presents arguments that do not support its legalization.
