The thesis aims to compare asylum procedure in the Czech Republic and Austria. First, the thesis describes the historical development of the asylum institution itself, together with the definition of the basic subjects of asylum law from which the thesis will subsequently develop. The attention will be paid to the sources of international and EU asylum law, together with Czech and Austrian legislation.
