Práce zkoumá mediální obraz duševních onemocnění ve vybraných českých médiích. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak jsou zobrazovány duševní nemoci ve vybraných českých médiích. Dílčí cíle práce sledují témata, duševní nemoci, mluvčí a prostor věnovaný duševním nemocem. Pro dosažení cílů byla použita kvantitativní obsahová analýza. Teoretická část vysvětlí důležitá východiska pro tuto práci, jako je gatekeeping, agenda-setting, teorie zpravodajských hodnot, mediální konstrukce reality, duševní nemoc a klasifikaci duševních nemocí, včetně vymezení a charakteristiky jednotlivých duševních poruch. Metodologická část představí zvolenou metodiku práce a postup prováděného výzkumu. Analytická část shrne výsledky analýzy, vyjádřené v tabulce a grafech.The thesis researches the media image of mental illnesses in the chosen Czech media. The objective of the thesis is to find out how mental illnesses are portrayed in the chosen Czech media. Partial objectives of the thesis follow topics, mental illnesses, speakers and space given to mental illnesses. To fulfill the objectives, the quantitative content analysis was used. The theoretical part explains the important resources for this thesis such as gatekeeping, agenda-setting, theory of news values, media construction of reality, mental illness and classifications of mental illnesses including definition and characteristics of the individual mental illnesses. The methodological part introduces the chosen methodology of thesis and progress of the conducted research. The analytical part summarizes the results of the analysis expressed in table and graphs.
