K tomuto účelu byla sestavena baterie kognitivních testů obsahující Pamětový test učení, Test cesty, subtest Opakování čísel (WAIS-III), Test verbální fluence, Rey-Osterriethovu komplexní figuru a Bentonův vizuálně retenční test. Dále jsme využili Beckovu sebeposuzovací škálu depresivity, Beckův inventář úzkosti a dotazník Quality of Life in Epilepsy Inventory. This master's thesis examines the association between epilepsy surgery and performance in psychodiagnostic methods in patients with drug resistant epilepsy. Another area of interest was the exploration of changes in depression, anxiety and quality of life in relation to the neurosurgical procedure. To this end, a battery of cognitive tests was constructed including the Memory Learning Test, the Path Test, the Repetition of Numbers subtest (WAIS-III), the Verbal Fluency Test, the Rey-Osterrieth Complex Figure Test, and the Benton Visual Retention Test. In addition, we used the Beck Depression Self-Assessment Scale, the Beck Anxiety Inventory, and the Quality of Life in Epilepsy Inventory. The testing group consisted of 14 women with drug resistant epilepsy who were presented with the test battery 2 weeks before and 7 weeks after surgery. The same methods without the quality of life questionnaire were also administered to 30 women without epilepsy. We found a significant reduction in BDI-II and BAI scores after surgery and an increase in QOLIE-31 scores. Patients with drug resistant epilepsy achieved lower scores in all administered methods than the control group of 30 women without epilepsy. They also had higher BAI scores, but did not differ significantly in BDI-II scores. We showed no negative correlation between seizure frequency, duration of epilepsy, and age at first seizure with psychodiagnostic method scores. The hypothesis predicting a significant decrease in the scores of these methods postoperatively was confirmed.
