Předložené poznatky byly čerpány z databází EBSCO, MEDVIK, PubMed, ProQuest a Google Scholar. The profession of paramedics in pre-hospital emergency care, especially paramedics, is very mentally and physically demanding. The bachelor's thesis presents the current knowledge of the origin of post-traumatic stress disorder in paramedics, the inclusion of rest after experiencing a traumatic event. The second sub-objective describes the issue of the Critical incident stress management and the ways how to behave immediately after experiencing a critical event. The bachelor's thesis also deals with the importance of interconnection and cooperation of the crisis management and the provision of psychological support not only to paramedics, but also to students in the field of paramedics. The issue of aggression that the paramedic may encounter is also briefly introduced. The presented findings were drawn from the EBSCO, MEDVIK, PubMed, ProQuest and Google Scholar databases.
