Bakalářská práce se zabývá šeroslepostí. Úvod práce je věnován popisu sítnice a fotoreceptorů a jejich funkci. Dále je popsána fyziologie nočního vidění, která zahrnuje biofyziku vidění a adaptaci na světlo a na tmu. Hlavní část se zabývá samotnou šeroslepostí, její charakteristikou, příčinami vzniku, symptomy a také popisuje její formy. Navazující část se věnuje diagnostice nemoci pomocí oftalmologických přístrojů. Závěr práce popisuje léčbu a prevenci onemocnění.This bachelor thesis deals with nyctalopia. The introduction aims to introduce retina and photoreceptors and their function. In the next part the topic of physiology of night vision including its biophysics and dark and light adaptation is described. The main part focuses on the nyctalopia itself, its characteristics, causes, symptoms and also its forms are described. Following part is dedicated to diagnosis of the illness using ophthalmic devices. In the final part of this thesis the treatment and prevention of the illness is described.
