El objetivo de este trabajo de fin de grado ha sido analizar la figura histórica Simón Bolívar en la obra El general en su laberinto, de Gabriel García Márquez y analizar la obra para ver si realmente pertenece al género de la nueva novela histórica. Además, se analiza el estilo literario de García Márquez, porque en la obra nos trae una perspectiva completamente nueva a un hombre destacado de los procesos de independencia de Sudamérica.The objective of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze the historical figure Simón Bolívar in the work The general in his labyrinth written by Gabriel García Márquez and to analyze the work to see if it really belongs to the literary genre of the new historical novel. Also, the literary style of García Márquez is analyzed, because in the work he brings us a completely new perspective to a prominent man of the independence processes of South America.
